What we collect

When you place an order, we process contact, delivery, and order details needed to take payment and fulfill your purchase. Payment-card details are entered in our payment provider’s secure checkout and are not stored by this website. If you contact us, we store your name, email address, topic, message, and any order number you provide, along with the status of the notification email. If you submit a product review, we store your name, email, rating, and comments. Approved reviews may display your name, rating, and comments; your email address stays private. If you request a back-in-stock alert, we store your email address and selected product until that one-time alert is sent. If you join our email list, we store your email address, consent source and time, subscription status, and the delivery state of the confirmation message.

How we use it

We use this information to operate checkout, fulfill and support orders, prevent abuse, communicate order status, send product and fresh-batch updates you requested, review customer feedback, and improve the store. A submitted review is not published automatically. If approved, its public version excludes your email address. Marketing consent is optional and is not required to make a purchase.

Cookies and local storage

The store uses essential browser storage to remember cart quantities and whether an email-signup prompt has been dismissed, and a short-lived, signed checkout correlation cookie to display the correct order confirmation. Our infrastructure and payment providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security and secure checkout. These functions are required to provide the service.

We keep aggregate daily counts of storefront page views, product views, checkout starts, and completed purchases. These first-party counters do not store an IP address, device identifier, advertising identifier, or individual browsing history. A privacy-focused analytics service may also be enabled to measure aggregate traffic and performance without cookies or cross-site tracking. We do not currently load advertising pixels or behavioral marketing cookies. If that changes, nonessential tracking will be held until the required consent is collected.

Where we operate

We currently accept and ship orders only within enabled United States destinations. We do not intentionally offer international shipping. We will update this notice before opening another market.

Service providers and retention

We use service providers for hosting, data storage, security, optional aggregate analytics, payment processing and refunds, and transactional email delivery. Aggregate first-party analytics are retained without user-level identifiers. Other records are retained as needed for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, and legal or accounting obligations. Access to customer records is restricted to people who need it for those purposes. Security and service logs may contain request details needed to investigate errors or abuse; these are separate from aggregate storefront analytics.

Your choices

You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of eligible personal information. Use the unsubscribe link in our product-update emails to stop those updates. Unsubscribing does not stop order receipts, shipping notices, or support messages needed to handle an order. We retain the suppressed email record so that we can honor the opt-out and avoid adding it back accidentally. Back-in-stock subscription records are removed 30 days after notification. Contact help@mootasticjerky.com. Tell us what you would like to access, correct, or delete. We may need to verify that the request relates to your records. Some information must be retained for tax, fraud prevention, refunds, disputes, or other legal obligations.
